40th Anniversary Celebration

This year Mayfield Utd are celebrating our 40TH anniversary and as such, we have a series of events taking place throughout the year. As we are a community based club, we would like for everyone associated with the club to be involved, be they our under 7's + academy right up to our executive committee. The following is a list of the events coming up:
1. 40TH Launch in the Ashburton Bar - Friday Feb.25TH
- This is the public launch of our 40TH anniversary, which in truth is a get together of everyone involved with the club, past, present and indeed the future. We will be showing on the tv screens a specially-made dvd showing pictures from the last 40 years of our history which will be on sale @ €10 each. It will be a chance for all to reminisce about the good ole times and also for those new to the club to discover who exactly it is that their son(s) are playing for and to try to build up some friendships. The committee would be delighted to see you all on the night: finger food will be served and the craic should be mighty.
Kick off from 8.30 onwards.
2. Mass for Deceased Members - Our Lady Crowned Church,
Mayfield - March 5TH 6pm
- This is the first time that we have held a mass for the deceased members of our club and while it is not obligatory for all to attend, we would be hoping that it is something that everyone will come along to. We would ask for all schoolboys and parents if possible to wear their club tracksuits,
jackets, sweatshirts, etc. or whatever item of clothing you might have in the green and black colours of Mayfield Utd. We are hoping that the Mass will be said by Bishop Buckley and the readings along with prayers of the faithful will be read by our own members/schoolboys. Afterwards Silversprings Moran Hotel are laying on a spread of tea & sandwiches for the club followed by some light entertainment and the invitation is open to all. Please be at the Church Grounds @ 5.40pm and look for you child's manager.

@ Silversprings Moran Hotel - 40 years to the day the club played its first match.
